Our Story

Welcome to the Cedar Wood Inn, a one-of-a-kind travelers hotel that provides the peace and quiet of country living yet is central to everything, affordable, and filled with unique and memorable details.

Cedar Wood Inn has been owned and operated by the Mack family for more than 60 years, and by Gordon and Audrey Mack since 1996. They stake their reputations on providing an excellent guest experience with prompt and friendly service, impeccable cleanliness and comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Gordon, a skilled artisan welder, has outfitted the Inn with beautiful hand-crafted iron work. The property also boasts impressive landscaping and an eclectic collection of locally sourced art and decor that reflect the Macks’ playfulness and creativity.

The Macks are proud to annually host attendees of the Sturgis Bike Rally and can recommend the best in local dining and entertainment year round.
